Scott Wojahn

I had a place on the interweb to house, organize, and showcase my music. It's been a circuitous route to find my creative voice, and I wouldn't have it any other way. 

Born in Oregon, raised in Southern California with the beach at my back door during the halcyon summers of sixties AM top 40 and seventies FM album radio, singing and playing in pop & rock bands, university degrees in music education and composition, jobs in teaching, amusement park shows, conducting world tours aboard the QE2, singing, arranging, and producing in the recording studio, even a stint in Steven Bochco's brilliantly cheesy “Cop Rock”. That's right...  

The road led eventually to Wojahn Bros Music, a boutique commercial music production company I founded in 1990 together with my brothers. We proudly created award-winning branded music for many of the most recognizable national and global companies, from Ford to AT&T, and the US Army to American Idol. Along the way, I’ve had the pleasure to produce artists such as Vince Gill, Buddy Guy, and Shawn Colvin.

For all of this time I have also written songs as a way of “balancing” the commercial work, creatively. I kept them close and questioned if the very expression of a song is what matters, but I have come to believe that art is meant to be shared also as a way of more fully understanding one another, finding connection as we walk this rutted road.

And so, everything is included here in hopes that access to these expressions, whether born on a hike or spilled from some late night heartache or hilarity, will bring hope, a smile, some understanding, and a bit of good will.
